Katherine Thivierge

Katherine studied French at Marygrove College in Detroit with studies abroad at the Université de Dijon, France. It was the foreign language curriculum that drew her to Waldorf education, and she completed her Waldorf teacher training at the Waldorf Institute in 1976. Years later Katherine attended the Detroit College of Law and practiced law for more than 10 years. She went on to complete a four-year training in Speech Formation in England and also earned a diploma in Anthroposophical Therapeutic Speech. She has toured internationally as the speech artist for the London Eurythmy Ensemble and the Austin Eurythmy Ensemble.

Katherine taught Creative Speech at OSS in fall of 2004 and joined the faculty in 2005, teaching French and Creative Speech. This is her fourth year as Administrator of the Oakland Steiner School.
