Summer Camp

2012 promises to be another fun filled summer for children 3 to 6-years-old. In the Oakland Steiner Seeds & Sprouts program, children ages 3-6 experience a slower, simpler time like we had growing up. Here, opportunities abound for a child’s natural exploration of his or her surroundings. Their senses of wonder and imagination are stretched with well-spun fairytales, puppet plays and nature walks.

Children will work side by side with our trained Waldorf teachers to tend the garden, make nutritious snacks, paint and do everyday household chores. These simple rhythms give children a sense of contentment and connection to the world in which they live.

 The Schedule for 2012 is as follows:

Ages
Ages 3 through 6 (by June 1); no children in diapers

Additional Camp Information:

Costs
9 a.m. – 1 p.m.: by May 20
OSS families: $160/week per child
Non-OSS families: $180/week
After May 20:
Additional $15 per child per week.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations before the start of class will be entitled to a refund of the fee paid less a 10% service fee.

Minimum registration must be met one week prior to each start date or the session
will be cancelled with a full refund to those whose registrations have been received.

All supplies and a healthy midmorning snack are included in this fee. Full payment is due at time of enrollment.

We can provide childcare before 9:00 and after 1:00 if there is sufficient interest. Please specifically inquire.

Child/Staff Ratio
Maximum of 10 children per adult

Confirmation
A confirmation packet will be sent upon receipt of your enrollment form and full payment. The emergency card must be returned before the first day of camp. All other forms can be returned the first day of camp.
