Annual Appeal Request to Alumni

Dear Fellow Oakland Steiner Graduate,

This is the twenty-third year that Oakland Steiner School has been providing a Waldorf education for families in southeast Michigan. The fourteenth eighth grade class will be graduating from the school in June of 2012. This year also saw for the first time an Oakland Steiner graduate coming back to the school, after college, to work in one of the classrooms. As the school continues to grow, so will the milestones continue to be achieved.

For each of us the school holds special memories. Milestones and memories can only be achieved if each member of the Oakland Steiner family takes an active role in the Annual Appeal each year.

For many of us we are not yet in a position to make a financial contribution to the school. We can however keep our contact information current with the school, attend school events and give of our time and talent. Attending events at the school, such as the Holiday Bazaar and Open House gives us a chance to reconnect with friends. More importantly, our presence at school events allows us the opportunity to share, with current school families and prospective families, our experiences we had while attending Oakland Steiner; school families are always anxious to hear about our successes after graduation from Oakland Steiner.

I hope you will consider joining me in the 2011-2012 Annual Appeal by filling out the enclosed card with your current contact information so that the school may keep you informed about events to attend.  Please also consider a gift of your time or talent to the school and for those who are able, even a very small monetary gift is always appreciated.
